The participants of the meeting of the General Assembly of the Association identified the city of Strasbourg (France) as its location. The city has had the status of the "parliamentary capital of Europe" since 1992, as it has been the meeting place of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe since 1949 and the Parliament of the European Union since 1992. The European Court of Human Rights is located in Strasbourg. Strasbourg, without having the status of the capital of the state, like Geneva and New York, is also a meeting place for international organizations and multinational congresses.
